Cookie Policy

What cookies are and what they’re for

This site uses and stores cookies.

They’re tiny files your browser keeps that carry information about how you came to our site.

Some of them we handle ourselves, some are handled by our partners — Google, Facebook and TikTok — and only to the extent needed to measure traffic and how the site is used. By using the site, you agree to this.

You’ll find the details in our privacy policy.

European rules want users to give explicit consent to cookies, and want any refusal to have a real effect on them — for example, the content not loading.

With us, that effect is real: if you don’t agree with how cookies are processed, we ask you to leave the site right away.

Our take on cookie banners

Honestly? We think the cookie banner is nonsense.

It mostly just gets in the way. We’d argue the vast majority of people never read any policy and don’t really care what “cookies” even are — they came for the content they were after.

That’s not to say consumer protection doesn’t matter. Just look at how carelessly personal data is often handled in the US.

But we’re equally against needlessly hassling businesses and annoying unsuspecting visitors.

And one more inconsistency: Google has penalised pop-ups and modals for years — so why would a cookie banner be perfectly fine?

We believe this can be solved far more elegantly and far more cleverly.

Thanks for understanding.

PS: This is purely our own opinion, and this page exists mainly so we meet a legal obligation.
